Slow cooking!

I love the winter/fall for one reason -SLOW COOKER MEALS!

Here is a favorite of mine...I challenge all my blog friends to post a comment or blog with your favorite slow cooker recipe!

Hamburger Soup

1 1/2 lbs ground beef (browned and drainer)
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp season salt
dry onion soup mix packet
6 cups boiling hot water
8 oz tomato sauce
1 TB soy sauce
1 cup carrots
1 cup celery

Cook on slow 8-10 hours. During the last 1/2 hour, add 1 cup elbow macaroni noodles. (This may sop up all the juice - so I add another 1-2 cups water or chicken broth to make it "soupy" again).

Serve with bread and butter!!!

1 pt. fresh mushrooms, rinsed
1/2 c. red wine

Brown beef tips in vegetable oil, until cooked through. Add onion soup mix, mushroom soup, fresh mushrooms and wine. Simmer on low heat for 6-8 hours. Serve over egg noodles.
