Sexism at it's finest

So I realized that I am a sexist. Not in a bad way necessarily - but I have realized that I always tend to dress Evelyn in pink and Gavin in blue. Once in a while, I mix it up - but the majority of their closets are filled with pink or blue. I think that is pretty normal - but today I was giving them breakfast and I noticed it...I gave Gavin blueberries and Blueberry Muffin Mini Wheats, while Evie got strawberries and Strawberry Chex. Blue and Pink. Then I noticed their pjs (which Patrick put them in)...blue and pink. Then the blankets they were covered with in bed...blue and pink. Their rooms, blue and pink. Car seat straps, forks and spoons, I could go on... Somebody needs to help me.

Whatta man!

Last night I made a homemade chicken pot pie. I followed this new recipe - it was good, but a little bland. So as we were eating it, I asked Patrick if he could use some salt and pepper. At that exact moment, the song on our digital music station changed to..."Whatta man" by Salt-N-Pepa. Irony? You decide.

Sorry for the lack of updates

This week has been a pretty amazing/stressful/busy one! Tuesday was the big 1st Annual Linking Up For DOctorS golf fundraiser that I was in charge of. Overall, it went better than I could have imagined! The weather was delivered from God himself and a perfect mid-70's, light breeze, sunny afternoon. That was the icing on the cake. We had all but 4 people show up (call schedules) and we had 4 people show up we didn't know about...so our numbers were exactly on target. One of the other key people helping in the event got a GI bug the night before so we were a little short handed - but all the ladies there helping really stepped it up and helped! The feedback so far has all been marvelous!! I am pretty proud of all of us for pulling it together within 3 months! No one won any of the big prizes - but the competition was great and the camaraderie was even better. We had the President of Medical Education come, the President of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation, the VP of the OhioHealth Foundation, many CEOs and many fabulous physicians from the area too. Overall- it was a high profile event that should get talked about and become even better next year! We already have follow up meetings and talks to plan again!!!!
Wednesday I had the kids 2 & 4 yr appointments at the doctors. They each got lots of shots - and Gavin got really sick from them later that night. Massive puke fest and diarrhea. YUCK! Poor guy. Evie got a nasty local site reaction - but was otherwise ok. I also had a state Advocates meeting and a PTO meeting that day - so it was also quite busy!
This weekend has been great since Patrick is home all weekend. I got to go to a jewelry party, we all went to Homestead Harvest and Penn State kicked butt!!! It has been a great way to wind down after a crazy week!
